Who were are looking for?
Since we started CROW, we have been very lucky with the people who have joined the collective. Most of the time, we knew each other before and recruited from the pool we were already in. In doing so, as is unfortunately common in tight-knit communities, it is very difficult for outsiders to get in. However, that is not how we want our work environment to be.
We believe that a strong community thrives on diversity and variety. That’s how we choose the clients we work with and the work we do. And it’s also how we want to continue to build our collective. We realize that there is room for improvement.
In our search for new colleagues, we are especially interested in new faces who may not yet be in the courier scene. We want to open up the community and welcome anyone interested to give it a try. As a collective, we want to continuously work on creating a work environment that allows for a hierarchy-free work style, as well as an open, communicative and safe space. A space that offers enough opportunities to try things out, discover new things and fields of activity, and to develop and grow personally.
Those who are interested should…
- enjoy being physically active at work,
- be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions,
- be comfortable interacting with customers during deliveries,
- be able to work well as part of a team,
- have good communication skills,
- have a good level of English and sufficient knowledge of German,
- and be motivated, organized and self-reliant.
It is not essential to have all these skills already, but the will to (further) develop them is.
We are looking for people who can work 15-20 hours per week to start, and want to go deeper into the collective over time. Currently we work together as freelancers and pay ourselves a shared hourly wage.
